About the Smyrna Lions:

The Smyrna Lions Club was chartered January 10th 1949 with 68 members. The first club meeting was held at Meadowlawn Homes, with "Red" Berry, the first club president presiding. Today the club has 50 active members. The club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:30pm at the Smyrna Senior Citizens Center. Our current club President is Gary McDonald. Service to the Community:

From the start, the emphasis has been on service in all forms to less fortunate members of the community.

All monies for a Lions Club activity are raised by the efforts of the members through whatever fundraising projects they may devise. All monies raised from the public are used on service activities. Membership dues support administrative costs of the club.

Budget:

The Smyrna Lions have an annual budget of approximately $30,000 all raised by volunteers ranging in age from 35-82 years of age. The more we raise, the more we can put back into the community.

We are a 501(c) 3 group, so any donation is totally tax deductible. If your planning your next years budget donations, we would appreciate if you would think of the Smyrna Lions Club in your budgeting process. For a printable brochure click the button below.
